At Cryobank, we regularly consult with men who want their sperm preserved cryogenically. The major motivators behind it are:

  • Planning vasectomy without entirely eliminating future potential.
  • Medications prescribed that can adversely affect sperm production.
  • Radiation treatments that will adversely affect sperm motility and production.
  • Testis Biopsy for ICSI procedures.
  • Husband travels adversely and is not around to assist his wife during her fertile cycles.
  • Posterity.

The process is simple and sperm can be preserved at our facility for as many years as agreed upon.

SHELF LIFE OF SEMEN

Semen can be cryogenically stored in excess of twenty years, there is no use-by date. Tests have been conducted in Belgium to prove efficacy of frozen sperm up to 21 years. Fresh semen can last up to eight hours under laboratory conditions.
